Thank you in front of ocean view

Thank you to all who supported LAND’s launch event & fundraiser!

Thank you to all who attended and showed their support for Legal Advocates for Nature’s Defence memorable launch event and fundraiser last week aboard the Chief Commanda II on Lake Nipissing in North Bay.

We are grateful to have such a kind, generous and motivated community standing with us, as we scale-up our efforts to protect nature and honour Indigenous sovereignty in law!

We’d like to extend a special thanks to those who helped make our launch event a success: our hardworking volunteers Flavia, Kirk and Rick, the Home Fire drummers, Elder Rick and knowledge keeper Mike, our guest speaker Ken Wu from Endangered Ecosystems Alliance, and all of the local businesses who gave their time and talents to donate items for our silent auction! We extend our sincere thank to the businesses who generously gave to us, including: The Colour Farm, Swift Canoe & Kayak, Hap Wilson, Osprey Links Golf Course, West End Phoenix, Blendz Smoothie Shop, Revival Timberworks, Hidden Bench Estate and Winery, and The Farm Fashion Art Retail Market.

To the individuals, allies and supporters who generously donated and bought tickets, we’re extremely grateful! Your support makes it possible for us to:

  • Scale-up lands and water protection with communities and Indigenous partners across the country
  • Create the legal avenues to recognize Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas
  • Provide legal representation to those on the frontlines of climate and environmental injustices

We hope you will continue to support our important work as we grow and come together as LAND.

On behalf of the staff and board at LAND, thank you!
